Update: Road reopened at approx 6.30pm
Police closed part of Mousehole Lane, at its junction with Witts Hill, to traffic on Wednesday afternoon (Aug 11), reportedly at around 4.40pm, following what was described as a "crash".

One car in the middle of the road looked severely damaged. Around seven ambulances were seen heading over Cobden Bridge towards the incident, where further emergency vehicles were on the scene. Police diverted traffic coming from the Cobden Avenue direction onto Leybourne Avenue, and Mousehole Lane remained open coming from Witts Hill heading towards Bitterne.
