A number of people have provided valuable information to detectives that has so far led to the arrests of seven individuals.  Local residents in the area of Vanguard Road have also been praised by police for their patience and understanding while officers worked within a crime scene cordon to secure evidence linked to the shooting.

Various arrests have already been made, and police say they’ll be “relentless in their pursuit to take the weapon off the streets.”

Anyone with information should phone the Operation Saddlewood team on 101 or the Crimestoppers charity line anonymously on 0800 555 111.
