He says organisations like the Society of St James, which provide specialist housing such as women's refuges, alcohol and drug dependency services and homelessness services, are set to see their budgets drastically reduced under the latest government cuts.

According to the MP, the Society of St James will have its budget slashed to the tune of £1.03 per annum.

Whitehead says it means that all of the organisation's schemes are at risk because it won't be able to fund them properly, and has asked the Conservative minister for housing and planning what he'll do to put the problem right for the Society of St James in Southampton.
