Previously it was a barber’s. According to the application, this use ended at the beginning of July 2019.
Before that it was a small Co-op supermarket. As reported, that closed in August 2015.
No opening hours for the takeaway are given on the application, which can be viewed on the council’s planning portal here. The application includes the installation of an extraction flue.
Currently at the parade there’s a Pizza Place which also advertises kebabs and burgers, Mike’s Chippy, Hill’s which advertises kebabs pizzas and burgers, and a Chinese takeaway. There’s also a Premier store, a Boots chemist and a post office, with Tesco just over Trent Road.
The bakery closed last August, and the shop appears still to be empty.
City planners are expected to make a decision on the application for the new takeaway in October.
