Talk nitty gritty about reducing fuel bills

You can talk nitty gritty about reducing your home’s carbon footprint with real people who have already taken the plunge, during an Open Homes Weekend on October 2/3.

The event showcases a wide range of options for carbon footprint and fuel bill reduction, and four homes in Bitterne Park are among more than a dozen featured across the City.

The events, run by Transition Southampton with the support of Southampton City Council, will demonstrate how a wide range of options for carbon footprint reduction can be implemented. Organisers say no sales people are involved, and there are no empty show homes.

You can find out about local suppliers and installers, and discover how the householders did what they did, what worked - and what didn't - and come away inspired to make your own fuel and carbon savings this winter!
