The Met Office predicts heavy snow for Southampton, Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight later Wednesday evening and during Thursday morning.
"Snow will become persistent and occasionally heavy later Wednesday
evening and during Thursday morning. There will be a slow increase in
depth to 5-10 cm, locally 15 cm, in the east and south of Hampshire
including the Isle of Wight" - see the Met Office site here.
Meanwhile the Daily Echo reports that "gritting lorries are out in force" on Hampshire's roads tonight, with an emphasis on gritting routes to schools.
The airport currently says on its site that it's open as usual, although some flights are delayed due to poor weather elsewhere.
