More than 500 potentially dangerous prescribed tablets have been stolen through a flat window in Burgess Road. {!jomcomment}

Police say between 12.30 and 6.40pm on Monday, July 1, a burglar opened a locked bedroom window of a flat in Burgess Road.

When the flat’s occupant returned, he found the bedroom window ajar and the tablets missing from a kitchen drawer. The medication includes Chlozapin, Metformin, Oxybutynin, Omeprazole, Ramipril, Amlodipine, Januvia and Senna.

Detective Constable Laura McIntosh wants to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity or people in the Burgess Road area on the day of the burglary.  She also warned anyone who finds the discarded tablets to alert police.

“This medication is dangerous for anyone who has not been prescribed it.  If found, it should be handed in immediately to police.  We also would like to hear about anyone who has acquired lots of tablets in the last few days,” DC McIntosh said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact DC McIntosh at Bitterne CID on 101.
