Armed robbers strike at Burgess Road Co-op

co-operative logo Staff were left shaken after armed robbers forced entry into the Co-op store on Burgess Road as it was closing for the day, and forced them to open a safe.

Now detectives are appealing for information from anyone who was in the area of the Co-op store in Burgess Road, Southampton, between 10:30 - 11:15 pm Wednesday, November 13.
 
A quantity of cash was stolen during the incident.
 
Detective Sergeant Stu Baker is leading the enquiry.  “We know there were many people near the Co-op at the time of the robbery.  We would encourage them to call us,” he said.
 
Anyone who was in the Burgess Road area at the time of the robbery is asked to ring Bitterne CID on 101.
