A virtual meeting of the council’s Licensing Sub-Committee on April 28 agreed that licensing conditions could be met.
Some objectors had raised concerns about the use of the outside of the premises, and particularly the use of the roof near residential properties.
But speaking at the meeting the applicant’s representative confirmed that the application was limited to the interior of the premises.
“The applicant’s representative made it clear that there would be no use of the outside space, including the roof terraces, without [a] further application,” said chair Cllr Catherine McEwing in her summary of the committee’s decision to grant the licence.
