Tory hold in Bitterne Park; Labour hold in Portswood
Updated The Labour Party has lost control of Southampton City Council to the Conservatives.

Labour has been the party in control since 2012.
Local Democracy Reporter Maria Zaccaro tweeted at around 5.30pm that Labour had lost control, with Labour on 23 seats and the Conservatives on 25.

In Bitterne Park ward Ivan White, left, held on to the seat he’s held since 2004, with 1927 votes.
Victoria Ugwoeme for Labour polled 1213 votes; Lindsi Bluemel for the Greens 533 and Olubumni Adebayo for the Lib Dems 229 votes..
In Portswood ward Labour’s John Savage, below right, held on to his seat, polling 1455.
The Green’s Katherine Barbour came second with 1082 votes, the Lib Dems polled 718, the Conservative candidate 670 and Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition polled 39 votes.
On Twitter Savage wrote: "Delighted & very humbled. I was returned today as Cllr for Portswood. A big thanks to the residents in PW who voted for me & of course all the Labour members who worked so hard to get our message out. I'll continue ... to support local residents. Thx"
