Appeal follows Benhams Road arrest

Benhams Road GooglePolice have launched a witness appeal after a man was reportedly seen carrying an offensive weapon along Benhams Road, near Townhill Infant School, on Wednesday (June 9) at about 3.15pm.

“Thanks to officers quick response and handling of the situation, the suspect was arrested and taken to custody shortly after,” wrote Southampton Cops on their Facebook page.

“Thankfully on this occasion no one was hurt and we thank the person who made the initial call.”

Officers are asking anyone who was a witness to contact them by calling 101 quoting 44210225336, or online.
