A car is thought to have rolled down from the bottom section of Bond Road to Manor Farm Road on Tuesday lunchtime (June 15).

“I don’t know if [the handbrake] failed or if it wasn’t set but it rolled down the hill and it stopped where it was in that photo,” said Robin Bluemel, who runs the nearby Bitterne Park Stores and who took the photo.
“And it just stayed there for about 10-15 minutes.”
Apparently there was a hunt for the owner by another local trader, but they couldn’t immediately be found.
“And then police turned up, and I think around then the owner came back,” said Robin.
It’s thought the car, which had been locked, was driven away with no damage and no one hurt.
