It’s thought to be because of a burst water main that affected the SO50/SO18 and SO30 areas.

On our Facebook page readers reported no water in areas including Midanbury, “at top of Cobden Avenue”, Dell Road, Thorold Road and Townhill Park, and low pressure in some other areas.

On its website Southern Water posted an updated on June 22 at around 6am:

“Repair delay on burst – no water. Due to the complexity of the repairs, the burst in SO50/SO18/SO30 will take some more time to fix. Again, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.”

It’s not known how many people have been affected.

Southern Water have been contacted for comment.
