The school tweeted the announcement on Saturday morning (July 3), and pointed to its detailed Covid update pdf.
That said that “Students who attend The ARB and the 6th Form can continue to attend school as there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 in these provisions and they are housed in different areas of the school.”
Important Notice - After conversations with PHE, we have unfortunately been advised to move our learning provision online rather than in school from Monday 5th July 2021 for Years 7, 8, 9 and 10. More information can be found here?https://t.co/HcAipKdwNM

Headteacher Stewart Roderick then said other information he needed to communicate “is complex due to groups of students already self-isolating”, and explained the situation in more detail for each.
He added: “I realise that this will be incredibly frustrating for many of you and we are equally frustrated, however, the situation experienced by students over the last week is unsustainable, with large numbers of students being asked to self-isolate and a constant flow of tracking and tracing. The rationale offered by PHE is to minimise contacts and break the transmission to end the cycle of students needing to self-isolate.”
He said the school looked forward to welcoming all students in Years 7-10 back to school on Tuesday, July 13.
