The pub reopened after the easing of the last lockdown from May 27 for table bookings and walk-ins.
A post on the pub’s Instagram account said it would be closed from July 19 – August 3: “for a week of refurbishment work and to take a weeks break to recharge”.
“It will also give us time to asses and work out how to operate in a way that will make as many people as possible feel safe and relaxed to come and enjoy a beer at the Hook.
“Thanks for your understanding and support and look forward to seeing you on the 4th!”
