The craft and garden event takes place from 11am-1pm by the station.
The group, which aims to create a cleaner, greener railway station, wrote on social media:
“We are happy to invite you our first community event. There will be a plants and seeds swap (bring a plant or some seeds, take home another one), crafting activities (learn to crochet, make a hungry caterpillar with recycled materials), there will be free books for children and other bric and brac (donations welcome, but not necessary). Children are welcome but need to be supervised at all times as we are next to a railway station. There will be crayons and bubbles to entertain the little ones.
“We will make sure there is hand-gel and we are happy for people to wear face masks if social distancing is not possible. To make sure we keep an eye on numbers and keep everyone safe, we ask people to register for a free ticket via eventbrite. Please use this link to register and get your free ticket.”
