Now in its sixth year, the ABP Marathon takes place on Sunday (Sept 5), with the Triangle described by organisers as “a great vantage point to spectate”.

Bitterne Parkers have traditionally always come out to cheer on the runners, especially at the Triangle, and it’s expected most competitors will be coming through from 9.30am onwards.
The route takes runners along Manor Farm Road, through Riverside Park and over Cobden Bridge.
Although still listed on the event’s site (spectators' FAQs/Entertainment), we understand that Southampton Ukulele Jam won’t be playing at “Bitterne Triangle” this year, as they have previously, and we haven’t so far been able to confirm if there will be any alternative entertainment locally.
So it could be a question of ‘make your own’!
Traffic-wise, the race involves “road closures” between 8am and 4pm on the day.

Cobden Bridge will be closed but organisers say in a letter to “Bitterne Residents” [pdf] Woodmill will be open, “as well as access to the city centre westbound on Northam Bridge”.
A letter has also been delivered to St Denys residents who appear to be able to leave their area by turning left from Adelaide Road and then left along Thomas Lewis way.
It looks as if they are expected to re-enter westbound over Cobden Bridge - presumably using a resident’s pass.
