co op window for halloween liam 1The spookification is by Liam Arscott, the man behind the Thorold Road display which raises hundreds for charity each year with its creative Halloween transformations.

The Co-op is also contributing sweets for the October 31 display, and also decorated its till areas to reflect the season.

With its forthcoming closure reported last week, it underlines the place in the community the Cobden Bridge Co-op has built up over many years.

Residents have been reacting to the news of the closure on our Facebook page:

“Very sad for the local community ?” wrote Marie Gadd, while Kim Ayling said: “That truly is going to be a shame. Will definitely miss the excellent Co-Op products...” You can read more reaction to the closure news here.
