The alert for Mansbridge and Riverside Park says the tides at 11.54am and 2.08pm will be higher than normal “due to Storm Eunice, which brings Severe Gale Force 9 South Westerly winds. The weather increases tide table values by 0.8 m. The total forecast tide is 5.37 metres Chart Datum (2.63 mAOD) at Southampton.”
Footpath flooding will affect areas of Riverside Park and the pub car park at Mansbridge “may also experience some minor impact flooding for a very short period of time.”
The A27 is unlikely to be flooded, says the alert, which you can read in full here.
The alert for Southampton Water and Hamble says road and car park flooding “is expected” at, among other places, Woodmill Lane and Priory Road.
“At Priory Road, residents may wish to install flood protection” concludes the warning, which is here.
It's understood that flood wardens have been out dropping warning notes through letterboxes in the St Denys area.
