New Indian restaurant on the cards for Triangle

A new Indian restaurant is promised for the former Bitterne Balti premises at Bitterne Park Triangle.

raff miah 600px suppliedRaff Miah, left, who said he had previously managed Sanjha in Shirley, told bitternepark.info: “I’m branching out on my own after 6 years.”

He said the new restaurant will be called Dhamaka, and he’s aiming to open by the end of March.

“It will be another Indian, however, will have some interesting new flavours and dishes,” he said.

Dhamaka logo 300pxAs reported, Bitterne Balti closed at the Triangle last December after a difficult couple of years, with the owners – who had been there 23 years – blaming issues including the pandemic and staffing difficulties.

A banner advertising a new restaurant at the premises has been on display since the start of February.
