Flybe planes were of course once a very familiar sight in the skies above Bitterne Park.
The service to Belfast City Airport will begin July 28, with frequency up to twice a day, and summer flights to Avignon and Toulon will operate once a week from July 23 and 24 respectively, Southampton Airport said.
The carrier’s new headquarters are reportedly in Birmingham, and its main base is at Belfast City.
The name is “now owned by Cyrus Capital which bought it under the company Thyme OpCo Ltd, now known as Flybe Ltd”, reported ukaviation.news earlier this year.
