info boards mainBitterne Park is already trialling state of the art electronic ‘info boards’, it’s been revealed, but local opinion seems divided, with some traders reportedly “unhappy” with their siting.

While the boards have been welcomed by local business organisations, some traders are said to be up in arms over their positioning.

The ‘NOW! Bitterne Park’ business future think tank said in a (written) statement: “It’s a ‘Yes!’! Digital advertising democratises the way we pay for our access to neighbourhood, local and global informational resources.

“That's why it's important that Bitterne Park stays one step ahead.”

But will concerns over siting outweigh business benefits?

One annoyed local shopper commented: “They are such a nuisance.”

Cobden Bridge Residents’ Association weren’t immediately available for comment, but if they do respond to our invitation to comment over the next few days we’ll endeavour to update this piece.
