Anyone’s welcome to join in, whether or not they’re members of the church.

This from Ascension in their own words:

In addition to free beginner running courses which we lead from time to time, we have a regular 5km ‘Run And Talk’ community social run on Monday evenings.

People must be able to run 5km (3 miles) without needing to stop or walk to join this group, but they don’t need to be fast as we run together at a pace where we can chat as we go and nobody gets left behind.  (If people can’t yet manage 5km, we have another group for people who can run at least 1 mile without stopping or walking, to help them increase their confidence and running fitness).

We also have monthly activities just for men, a running fitness activity for teenage girls in line with the This Girl Can campaign, and other activities like ‘Try a mile’ sessions from time to time.
