Council meetings postponed until after state funeral

civic centre april 2022 with noticeboard sign 600pxSouthampton City Council has said that all formal council meetings have been postponed until after the Queen's state funeral on Monday, September 19.

 

Postponed meetings include full council and cabinet that were due to take place next week. New dates and times are to be confirmed.

Southampton City Libraries will be also be postponing events.

Included in these is the planned Summer Reading Challenge Medal celebration at Southampton Central Library on Saturday, September 10.

The council has said it will advise of a new date as soon as it can.

Medals can still be collected from Central Library on Saturday morning.
