Free Music in the City festival back this weekend

music in the city logo 22 200pxBilled as Southampton's biggest and best free music event, Music in the City – which showcases local musical talent in often unusual venues – is back this weekend (Sept 24/25).

Venues range from pubs, cafes and music venues, city spaces such as Guildhall Square and King John’s Palace (the garden in Tudor House), and even hidden away historical sites such as medieval wine cellar Lankester’s Vault.

Explains the event website: “Celebrating the wonderful diversity of musical talent from Southampton and the Solent area. From Rock to Jazz, Classical to Americana, Folk to Blues ... in some of the best and unusual settings the city has to offer.”
