Kun Hei and Lin Chan have given notice that they are retiring.
The business is thought to have been at the Triangle over 40 years for 48 years, and is much loved by many.
It comes as Cotton’s bakery, the Il Picchio cafe opposite, and the now boarded Flower Boutique next door have recently all also shut up shop; see our previous report here.
Meanwhile at 32 Manor Farm Road, plans have been submitted to the council for alterations to the previous ‘old style’ shop frontage glazing and door at the former flower shop.
The application notes: “The existing glazing has been removed and the ceiling/roof temporarily propped as the steel support Over is corroded and the brickwork sides that support it have collapsed as it is a danger to the public. The Frontage has been hoarded to protect the opening behind.
No further works are proposed until planning has been granted."
