It’s time for the Autumnal Tidy-up at Chessel Bay Local Nature Reserve, and volunteers are invited to get involved.

People wanting to help should assemble at the end of Quayside Road SO18 1DP on Saturday, November 5 between 10am and 2pm.
As usual the council will be there to chat about the nature reserve and take the rubbish away.
As reported, there are currently ongoing projects to help reduce ‘nurdle’ and other pollution, including a city council “Scrutiny Inquiry” on the river.
But litter picks are still a really important part of overall efforts and make a big difference, say organisers.
If you would like to get involved and help ‘turn the tide’ on plastic pollution in Chessel Bay, turn up in robust clothing and footware and bring sturdy gloves as it can be a mucky job!
Under 16s need to be accompanied by a responsible adult.
