‘Toothless in Southampton’, a group highlighting the plight of residents who have found themselves unable to access NHS dental care, say they’ll be out and about talking to residents at the junction of Burgess Road and University Road on Tuesday (Oct 25).

The group said: “As fewer dental practices are providing NHS dental treatments in the city and surrounding areas, we are seeing the negative impact this is having on families, men, women, and children. It is often so severe that some are taking matters into their own hands. Stories of DIY dentistry are common and on the increase.”
They’ll be chatting and giving out leaflets from 11am.
