Southampton Vineyard Church is collecting winter wear for children and adults at The Old Chemist on Sunday (Nov 6), and will then be giving them away the following Saturday (Nov 12) to anyone needing to keep warm this winter.

The drop-off event on Sunday is from 10.30am until 12.30, and the giveaway on the following Saturday is from 10am – 4pm.
“We know what a pinch finances are this year so there’s no criteria or judgement over who needs it,” said organiser Jo Williams.
“They are sometimes quite big ticket items, particularly if you’ve got a family of children to get coats for, and adults as well, so we just thought it’s something we could do to help out, and see if it makes a little bit of a difference to some people.”
She added: “We might end up with not enough coats or far too many, but it’s worth giving it a go.”
