It's to remove existing road markings on the first night, and to put in new markings on the second.
There could also be noise during work and water remaining on the road following work, but the council’s contractor Balfour Beatty says in a resident letter it will try to work nearer properties during the first part of the evening to reduce impact.
Work’s scheduled to take place from Monday, November 14 for two nights from 8pm – 6am. The road will be reopened by 6am on both days to traffic.
It is however weather dependent, so dates could change.
It follows current work taking place on the bridge, pictured and as reported, to improve the bus stop, access for pedestrians and the cycle lane on Cobden Bridge from Monday, October 31.
Update 10/11/22: Balfour Beatty said in an update that this work has now been postponed: "The works to hydroblast the road have now been postponed, and will be completed as part of a larger project in the future. Cobden Bridge will no longer be closed and will remain open."
