Emptying overflowing bins in Southampton won’t begin until Wednesday, June 22, says the council. The delay is due to a strike over council plans to reduce workers’ pay and conditions. Talks between unions and employers with ACAS are finally due to begin on June 16, following much wrangling over start dates and who should attend.
