Urgent food drive on Sunday

mutual aid urgent food drive graphic april 23The Southampton Mutual Aid Group is running what it describes as an Urgent Food Drive on Sunday (April 2) to support those in need of food.

It takes place at Shirley Parish Hall, located at the corner of St James Road and Colebrook Avenue, from 2pm until 4pm.

Further collections also happen on the first Sunday of each month.

The group is welcoming any donations, no matter how big or small.

The list of particularly required items includes: tinned meat meals, tinned cold meats and fish, tinned vegetables, tinned vegetarian meals, tinned soup, tinned beans and spaghetti, pasta sauces, dog and cat food, squash and drinks, tea and coffee, nappies, baby food, baby wipes, toilet rolls, and toiletries.
