A new newsletter has been launched to serve a vibrant “hyper-local community corner”.

SquareAbout News celebrates some of the local events, activities and initiatives to be discovered near to the ‘square roundabout’ – otherwise known as the local gyratory off Bitterne Road West.
Explains the first edition: “Why ‘SquareAbout News’? It is not Bitterne Park, not quite Bitterne (although it has a station called Bitterne Station); it used to have a library, not yet Peartree side and not across the railway line to be Bitterne Manor. Our newsletter celebrates that – willingly or reluctantly – we often go around a square roundabout [gyratory] and that while it feels a neglected part of the road, it connects lots of us and surrounding community activities.”
Copies have been distributed around the area, and are available from Bitterne Park Stores at the Triangle. We’re happy to also make it available as a download from bitternepark.info here [pdf 757k]*.
