It said it “loaned” the use of its Portswood site “during the pandemic” to “help in the fight of COVID-19 across the city”, consequently moving clinics to the trust’s Adelaide and Nicholstown sites.
“We’re aware that this caused frustration for patients who usually used Portswood due to the distance needed to travel for an appointment as well as other issues such as parking,” it said.
But May 15 will see practice nurse and healthcare assistant appointments return to Portswood. Patients will however have to carry on getting to the other sites to see a GP “for the time being” while the trust says it “work[s] to restore Portswood to full capacity”.
