Gas issues are affecting another Triangle business, with the Dhamaka Indian restaurant thought to have been closed for around a month as a result, and with no reopening date so far confirmed.

It’s understood that work on the gas supply to the premises is required before the business can reopen fully – which it says it intends to do whenever the issue is resolved.
Dhamaka launched at the Triangle last year from the former Bitterne Balti premises by the clock tower.
As reported, gas supply was also a factor delaying Soca Shack bringing a taste of the Caribbean to the Triangle from the former Il Picchio premises. Pipe-laying took place in mid-April and now it’s hooked up to the network the business says it “should be aiming to open by mid June” as long as there are “no more surprises”.
