Led by the Friends of Bitterne Station, it will feature the talents of local artist Joanna Rose Tidey, known for her vibrant and colourful outdoor paintings displayed throughout Sholing.
Over the course of the next year, Joanna will create ten art installations inspired by the winning photos.
Entrants are encouraged to submit up to three original photos, by June 7, capturing local wildlife in and around Southampton, from insects in their gardens to birds on the river, or even shy hedgehogs and foxes.
The winners, selected in collaboration with children from Bitterne Manor Primary, will receive an A3 art print by Joanna Rose Tidey and recognition on the project's webpages.
