A long-time boarded up building at the bottom of Bond Road, which has been a target for graffiti in the past few months, appears to be receiving some TLC.

Workers moved aside some of the boarding to gain access and were inside on Wednesday (June 7), opposite Hilton Motors, in what’s thought to have been the first activity there for some time.
Long-term plans for the site aren’t known.
Some years ago the building was used as a store and outlet for secondhand furniture and related items. There were also hopes to turn it into a 'heritage shop' in 2007, which didn't come to fruition. And we understand that in the past the building was also used as an electrical appliance store for a short period.
