Issues with supply to the gas network caused the closure.
But it’s understood kitchen equipment has now been adapted to run from bottled gas supplies to overcome the problem.
Dhamaka launched last year in the former Bitterne Balti premises by the clock tower. As well as restaurant seating, it also offers home delivery and collection options on takeaways.
