The event, with prizes sponsored by local businesses, aims to raise funds for charitable causes in the community.
Tickets to sponsor a duck and be in with the chance of winning a prize, will be available for purchase at £2 each or £20 per book, with sales taking place during weekends in August leading up to the bank holiday (Aug 28).
Visitors will find the ticket pitch near the finish line opposite Woodmill Activity Centre jetty on the upper level of the river, between 10am and 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays, subject to volunteer availability. Cash and cards are accepted.
Following the success of last year's event, which saw a "bumper crowd" and a "smooth" race, Eastleigh Lions Club’s Dave Bowring expressed his gratitude to all supporters.
And Bowring is now seeking support in the form of prize pledges from more businesses, where possible closer to the race location to make them easier for winners to redeem.
