A handwritten notice in the window was displayed saying it would reopen "as soon as possible".
The notice simply said: “Closed. We will open as soon as possible. Apologies for any inconvenience. Spar”.
Police confirmed they were called at 7.46am in response to a report that the Manor Farm Road shop had been broken into.
A spokesperson said tobacco had been stolen.
They added that no one had been injured, and that the incident is "currently under investigation and enquiries are underway".
What’s thought to be a police van was also spotted parked at the Triangle.
As reported, earlier this month police were also called to the store early in the morning following a forced entry, and theft of goods.
Spar was contacted for comment.
