A popular family-friendly festival “for lovers of reggae, Jerk Chicken and great vibez” returns in July.

‘Jerk Jam’ revolves around a ‘BBQ battle’, a unique competition held in a purpose-built boxing ring with authentic jerk pans, accompanied by DJs and MCs.
There will also be two stages, with musical headliners including The Allergies & Channel One, special guest General Levy, King Tubby, Kurupt fm's Danny Rankin, Artful Dodger O.G. Pete Devereux, DJ Mickey Finn, and many others.
The festival’s mission is “to provide a safe, inclusive, reasonably priced truly creative space in which families can enjoy the vibrant multi cultural flair and fun of the Southcoast’s diverse community”, according to its website.
Jerk Jam returns on July 22 at Pinkmead Farm, just outside Botley, with on-site camping available. Adult tickets are advertised at £34 with under 16s' tickets at £15. Under 8s go free. Details on the festival’s website.
