A new pedestrian crossing appears to be on the cards for Townhill Way near Moorlands Primary School.

As reported in 2021, locals have campaigned for a safe crossing, as they say children are “forced to run the gauntlet every day” because of traffic on the busy road.
Work on a new crossing, funded by Southampton City and Hampshire County councils, is now expected to take place during the summer holidays, with temporary lights in place during construction.
