We first reported the appearance of a hole around a month ago.

It’s understood “additional traffic management” will now be deployed at the junction while an investigation takes place, including temporary lights at the St Catherine’s junction, and the suspension of parking near the area from Friday (July 7).

'No parking' cones have already appeared near the scene, although others positioned on Bond Road when the hole first appeared, to make it easier to navigate past the hazard, mostly disappeared shortly afterwards, and parking continued as usual.
