Organisers of Bitterne Park festival TriFest have said that the event won’t be returning this year.

The news comes after the event had to be cancelled ahead of the original July 22 date due to bad weather.
It had been hoped to reschedule for later this summer.
But in an announcement on Monday evening, organisers explained that other dates this year “just would not work”.
“It is with a heavy heart that we have to say it will not be possible to run TriFest later this year after the bad weather knocked us out on the 22nd July,” wrote TriFest co-ordinator Paul Jenks, pictured.
“We had a huge amount of goodwill from stallholders and festival goers, and we really tried to make it happen but on the dates available to us it just would not work. There are certain key elements that have to happen for a festival to run, unfortunately, and through nobody's fault, we could not get it to come together.”
He did however add that the festival will return next year.
“As Arnie said we WILL be back,” he said.
The festival, which in previous years has had a village fete vibe, was to include a selection of performances from local musicians, over 35 stalls from local organisations and traders, and a dog show.
