While the team have been providing catering at events it will be their first premises, at former Il Picchio cafe on the corner of Bond and Manor Farm roads.
The ‘mains’ on the menu include curried chicken, curried mutton and curried chickpea, ‘Vincy Veggie Curry’, jerk chicken, stewed oxtail and jerk salmon.
‘Sides’ include congo pepper prawns, jerk wings, veggie fritters, and mac n cheese.
Leading up to the opening, Soca Shack has been hosting some private events, no doubt getting the team ready for Saturday.
Co-owner Marvin Forbes-Broomes told bitterpark.info it felt “very satisfying” to finally be opening.
“Obviously it’s been a very long time coming – a year with like set-backs because of the gas, other problems setting back after that, it just feels a relief,” he said.
“It’s just a really exciting day for me and my family to be finally opening.”
He said Soca Shack should be open from 2pm on Saturday.
