Each year Liam Arscott spends months planning how to transform the house near the top of Thorold Road, Bitterne Park into a spooky wonderland, complete with actors and effects.
And its been raising hundreds for charities since 2017.
Even in poor weather locals attired in fancy dress queue around the corner onto Dimond Hill to take their turn to enjoy the display and put some cash in the buckets.
Last Halloween it raised over £1800 for Abby's Heroes.
But this year’s display Liam has said will be the last.
“It’s simply down to work commitments,” he explained.
“[I] can’t take as much time off to compete it although we love raising money for great causes!”
Not too much is known about this year’s plans, although we can reveal entry will be through a spooky cottage where you’re likely to meet a witch!
And this year the fundraiser is for local hospice charity Mountbatten Hampshire, which is already open for online for donations.
The spooky send-off starts from 5.30pm on Tuesday, October 31 at 48 Thorold Road, SO18 1J.
