The troublesome sinkhole on Bromley Road, Midanbury, which it’s thought was reported on October 14, appears to have already been repaired.

It’s thought to have been fixed on Wednesday (Oct 18).
The 'road closed' sign over one side of the carriageway near the area has also now been removed, although some equipment was still nearby as at Thursday lunchtime.
As reported, there was earlier concern that some drivers were ignoring the sign when it was in place.
One commenter on our Facebook page noted in a thread about the issue: “Bromley Road is built over an old gravel pit so there are probably holes all over that area that were hastily filled in at various stages.”
