The airport says that new year-round flights to Belfast International and Glasgow will further enhance “connectivity between the South and key hubs in Northern Ireland and Scotland”.
These flights will complement the existing flight options available to passengers travelling between Southampton, Glasgow, and Belfast.
The first flight from Southampton to Belfast took off on October 29, and is now departing “up to three times a week”, said the airport.
The inaugural flight to Glasgow took off on November 2, and will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Loganair also operates flights from Southampton to Glasgow, and Aer Lingus to Belfast.
And the airport has also announced two new routes for summer 2024 - once a week to Spain’s coastal city Alicante, and once a week to Faro - the capital of Portugal’s Algarve region.
