Running until January 1, 2024, the deal allows up to five people to buy a group ticket on Bluestar and Unilink services, or First Solent’s X4/X5 services within the city, and pay only £5 to travel by bus for the entire day.

This initiative, which sold 21,000 tickets in the summer, is expected to provide affordable transportation for festive events.

Cllr Eamonn Keogh (Lab), cabinet member for environment and transport, said the council was “pleased to be able to bring it back for Christmas and make group travel around the city more affordable when families need it the most”.
