“Quirky colourful treat” shop The Whimsical Kitchen is planning a move from St Denys to Bitterne Park Triangle.

The very bright shop, which opened on St Denys Road in February 2022, will be crossing the river and opening on Manor Farm Road between rideride and Hair @ 20.
The premises were formerly home to Beauteous, and before that Colours of Beauty. As reported, Beauteous closed its doors at the Triangle this April after five years. Before that Colours of Beauty moved from the Triangle in 2017.
Whimsical Kitchen owner Jackie Neat told bitternepark.info: “I don’t have a timeline yet as I only got the keys on Saturday, but we are slowly making the move over from St Denys.”
She added: “I’d always planned to be at the Triangle as I live in BP but unfortunately there wasn’t anything available at the time.”
Last month Jackie expressed her frustration to the Daily Echo about the lack of parking on St Denys Road, and about roadworks near local businesses.
The future for the current St Denys premises is currently unknown.
